- 1/2 tbsp of Butter
- 2/3 cups of Mini Marshmallows
- Mini/Regular Size Ice-Cream Cones
- Assorted Sprinkles (Optional)
Hope you enjoyed watching this video as much as I did. It is a good idea not to serve children too many sweet Kids Party Food as they can become hyperactive, but what is a Kids Theme Party without at least some delicious sweet treats like the Coney Treats?
The video advises us to use medium heat and a bigger open pan when making the Coney Treats, so that there’s more room for ease of mixing the ingredients.
If you require a larger quantity of Coney Treats for your party, just double, triple etc. the ingredients accordingly as required.
In addition, if you don’t have mini marshmallows, you can use regular size marshmallows, as long as the marshmallows measure up to 2/3 cups. Also, you can use either all white marshmallows or a mixture of coloured marshmallows, depending on the colour theme you want for your Kids Theme Party. If you use all white marshmallows, coloured sprinkles would make your Coney Treats look much prettier.
Furthermore, to make your Coney Treats even more delicious, you can dip them in melted chocolate. For another taste, you can use Cocoa Flavoured Rice Puffs Cereal instead of the Plain Rice Puffs Cereal.
The great thing is that the Coney Treats can be made in advance, but not more than 1-2 days prior to your Kids Theme Party. Just store them in an air-tight container in a cool dry place and they will still taste amazing on the day of the party. Remember, don’t store them in the fridge as the moisture in the fridge will make them go all soggy and they will no longer be crunchy.
